Life After Hospitals

Hello all,

Let me first address the matter of the unfinished tour blog — it happened for a few reasons:

A.) Laziness
2.) Craziness
D.) 12 days in a mental hospital in OKC

Yes, it's all true. The real truth, however, is the love of my friends and family have seen me through a troubled time in my life. I've been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and the meds seem to be doing their trick.

I'm currently living with my mother and grandmother in beautiful Mill Valley, CA on top of Mt. Tamalpais — north of Muir Woods (where G. Lucas shot the famed Ewok scenes in Return of the Jedi). I can't think of a better place to recuperate, relax and recover which I plan on doing in the following weeks. Currently waiting on some delicious baked mac n' chee while digging on Santana's classic first album.

So anyone worried, please don't worry. Life's too short to be bothered with those feelings.

Anyhow, music and art have been sanctuaries my entire life and I've spent a great deal of the past month doing these things. Keep checking as I plan on posting them sooner than later.

You are loved,
Derek

P.S. Read II Tim 1:7 if you ever find yourself in my shoes.
